KPK names Angkasa Pura II executive graft suspect following arrests - Jakarta Post

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) named Andra Y. Agussalam, the finance director of state-owned airport operator PT Angkasa Pura II (AP II), a graft suspect following a string of arrests in Jakarta on Wednesday and Thursday. The antigraft body suspects Andra of accepting Rp 1 billion (US$70,215) worth of Singapore dollars in return for his alleged role in rigging a bid for a baggage-handling system procurement project for the airport operator’s subsidiary PT Angkasa Pura Propertindo (APP). KPK deputy chief Basaria Panjaitan said the arrest was based on a tip-off that state-owned telecommunication company PT Industri Telekomunikasi Indonesia (INTI) would win a project worth Rp 86 billion to procure baggage-handling systems at six airports managed under AP II.  According to the project’s document, APP is responsible for the tender for the systems as...
